Office for Faculty Development: Workshops for faculty with engagement work

  • Representing your engagement work in your dossier Thursday, October 23rd, 9:30-11:00 a.m. OFD Conference Room (405 Clark Hall): The six realms of faculty responsibility include engaged scholarship, however, it's sometimes hard to know exactly how to integrate it into your dossier for promotion and tenure. Andy Fox, Assistant Professor, Landscape Architecture, and Marc Grimmett, Associate Professor, Curriculum, Instruction & Counselor Education will discuss how they have included engagement as an important part of their documents for tenure review and show examples of how you could do it too!
  • Developing a Quality Extension Seed Grant Proposal Wednesday, November 5th, 10:00-11:30 a.m., OFD Conference Room (405 Clark Hall): Extension, Engagement, & Economic Development Seed Grants are designed to to stimulate faculty and EPA professionals to address the needs of citizens of North Carolina and beyond, to encourage external and multidisciplinary partnerships, and to leverage additional funds for extension, engagement, and economic development endeavors. Learn tips for developing your own Extension Seed grant proposal from a panel of successful seed grant recipients and knowledgable reviewers. Information presented is applicable to both novice grant writers and those who want to strengthen their skills.
