Early notice: NSF CAREER Workshop

The Proposal Development Unit (PDU) has announced that it will hold a workshop for prospective CAREER award nominees on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from 1 to 4 pm. 

The NSF’s prestigious Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program offers support for early-career faculty seeking to build strong foundations for research and education in their respective fields. Faculty interested in submitting a CAREER proposal are invited to attend a workshop covering key aspects of proposal development. You will be able to register at the PDU homepage after the winter break.

This event is hosted by the PDU, as well as the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the College of Sciences, and the Wilson College of Textiles. All eligible faculty are welcome to apply--and our college has had some recent success in this program, so we strongly urge anyone interested in applying to attend this workshop, and to reach out to the college research office for assistance.

Center for Human Health and the Environment - Request for Pilot Project Applications

NC State/NIEHS Center for Human Health and the Environment (CHHE) is announcing its request for applications (RFA) for pilot project proposals for fall of 2021.  Applications are due on September 15, 2021 at 5:00 pm. EDT.


Individual awards will range upwards to $25,000 (direct cost) for one year and CHHE expects to fund up to five proposals. CHHE will also award up to two $50,000 proposals (direct costs) for dual-investigator, multi-disciplinary collaborative research which requires additional funding and separate budgets. CHHE full members can now use the STC Voucher Program Funds for STC services that are part of a CHHE PPP.
