Limited Submission: Gates Foundation Networks for School Improvement

The Research Development Office has been made aware of interest in a limited submission opportunity with a short timeline. Any faculty interested in participating in an expedited internal competition to select NC State's submission for this opportunity should email a one page project description and a two page CV as one file to limited-submission@ncsu.edu by 3:00 on Friday 9/28.

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation: Networks for School Improvement (Late 2018)
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is funding intermediary organizations to form Networks for School Improvement (NSIs). An NSI is a network of secondary schools working in partnership with an intermediary organization to use a continuous improvement process to significantly increase the number of Black, Latino, and low-income students who earn a high school diploma, enroll in a postsecondary institution, and are on track in their first year to earn a credential with labor-market value.

Chancellor's Innovation Fund: Call for Pre-proposals

Dear Colleagues,

The Office of Technology Commercialization and New Ventures is now accepting pre-proposal submissions for the next funding cycle of the Chancellor’s Innovation Fund (CIF).  

The Chancellor’s Innovation Fund (CIF) is a highly competitive process and has produced outstanding results:
-$3.1M awarded to 45 projects
-CIF awardees have been awarded/raised $33M in additional external development funds 
-35 commercialization agreements 
-Over $1M in license revenue
-18 startup companies launched

Limited Submission: NSF Cultivating Cultures for Ethical STEM (CCE STEM)


Cultivating Cultures for Ethical STEM (CCE STEM) funds research projects that identify (1) factors that are effective in the formation of ethical STEM researchers and (2) approaches to developing those factors in all the fields of science and engineering that NSF supports.
