ORIED Internal Seed Funding

After the jump, please see information about upcoming and current programs for internal funding. I have confirmed that the FRPD will return in the Spring of 2018. The RFP will be issued then. I also remind you of the Non-laboratory Scholarship/Research Support Program (NSRP).

The following ORIED seed funding programs will release their next RFPs in Spring 2018. (Funding available July 2018.)

Research and Innovation Seed Funding Program (RISF)
NC State’s Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development (ORIED) and the Kenan Institute for Engineering, Technology & Science (KIETS) established the Strategic Research Initiative in 2010, which is now entitled Research and Innovation Seed Funding (RISF). This program is designed to assist NC State researchers in developing innovative interdisciplinary programs that have strong potential for significant future support from government agencies, corporations, industrial consortia, or foundations.

The Faculty Research and Professional Development (FRPD) program is a funding partnership between the Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development and the 10 academic Colleges. Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact the Associate Dean for Research of their college to explore this funding opportunity.
