National Endowment for the Humanities: Infrastructure and Capacity Building Challenge Grants
The purpose of the Challenge Grants program is to strengthen the institutional base of the humanities by enabling infrastructure development and capacity building. Awards aim to help institutions secure long-term support for their core activities and expand efforts to preserve and create access to outstanding humanities materials.
R.L. Rabb Science and Society Symposia Call for NC State Proposals
Dr. R. L. (Bob) Rabb was a professor of entomology at NC State, and a pioneer in developing ecologically sound approaches for managing insect pests. An endowment developed in his honor provides funding for symposia at NC State that will elevate appreciation within and outside the academic community for the ways in which interactions among natural sciences, social sciences and the humanities can foster flourishing societies and sustainability of all forms of life.

RFP: Laboratory Research Equipment Program (LREP) Deadline October 9, 2020
The 2020 cycle of the Laboratory Research Equipment Program (LREP) is open.
LREP is intended to support the acquisition, repair and/or replacement of shared equipment that may be located and maintained in NC State service centers, departments, colleges, Centers/Institutes, etc. The Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) has set aside $100,000 for this program. The maximum award from ORI for LREP-funded equipment is $25,000 per proposal. A one-to-one cash match is required.

The International Travel Assistance Fund encourages and supports faculty or staff international engagement in research, teaching and other scholarly activities. Faculty and staff can request $1,000 to use towards international travel that relates to NC State’s global strategic plan.

CHHE Request for Pilot Project Applications
NC State University’s Center for Human Heath and the Environment (CHHE) is announcing its request for applications (RFA) for pilot project proposals for Fall 2020. Applications are due on February 28, 2020. The earliest start date is mid-April 2020 and CHHE expects to fund 6-8 projects.
