Webinar on Opportunities for Industry Partnerships

From the folks at Springboard, a new NCSU Initiative to encourage innovation partnerships:

Springboard, NC State's new innovation hub, is presenting a series of
monthly webinars to help expand our awareness of potential research
funding opportunities involving industry collaborations. These free
webinars are being developed by the National Academy of Sciences'
University-Industry Demonstration Partnership (UIDP) in conjunction with
the National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer.

February's webinar is being sponsored by the National Institute of
Standards & Technology and can be viewed Wednesday, Feb. 16 from 4 to 5
pm in the auditorium at the Monteith Research Center. Lorel Wisniewski,
PhD, the acting director of NIST's Technology Innovation Program (TIP),
is the presenter. TIP funds high-risk, high-reward research in areas of
critical national need. A half-hour "Pretzels & Punch" discussion will
follow, providing time to discuss what was learned and potential
opportunities at NC State.

As part of Springboard’s mission, we plan to help identify new types
of industry collaboration that can directly lead to funding
opportunities. This is an important way in which we can support the
University’s research and innovation goals.

If you would like to attend the February webinar, simply respond via
email to Marie Blanchard at Marie_Blanchard@ncsu.edu. If you have any
questions, please feel free to contact either Marie or myself directly.
