CHASS Humanities Extension Program -- Call For Participants

CHASS Humanities Extension Program 

The Humanities Extension Program at NC State University seeks to match public school classroom teachers with NCSU CHASS faculty who are interested in sharing their expertise with public school students. Dr. David Zonderman from History serves as the program’s academic director.

The Humanities Extension Program provides an opportunity to build upon existing relationships created by the many faculty who already visit North Carolina schools. The program will also create new partnerships and help measure CHASS’ collective impact on the state.
Visiting Humanities Scholars will receive a $250 supplemental compensation per half-day classroom visit and mileage to travel to North Carolina public schools to present on topics related to:

•             Culture
•             English
•             Ethics
•             History
•             International Studies
•             Languages
•             Leadership
•             Literature
•             Nonprofits
•             Philosophy
•             Politics / Public Policy
•             Psychology
•             Religious Studies
•             Social Work 
•             Sociology
