Colleagues, these are important opportunities that are "limited submission" programs, meaning that they will be reviewed at the University level before being sent to the funder.
NEA: Art Works -- Agency deadline is July 24. This is a limited submission opportunity except for the Media Arts (Creation and Engagement) category. Bonnie Aldridge in the Research Development Office is asking for a mandatory notification of interest by July 3 (next week!) but will work with faculty who submit interest later. Bartley Danielson and Jing Zhao (Business Management) were funded in the summer 2013 round for their projects "Arts-Based Charter Schools in Urban Redevelopment Catalysts: The Case of Orange County School of the Arts"; RADAR does not report any submissions for the winter 2014 RFP.
NEH: Media Projects Development Grants and Media Projects Production Grants -- Agency deadline is August 13. These programs are not institutionally limited, but Bonnie (and I) are asking for a courtesy notification. No projects currently under consideration may be resubmitted -- RADAR does not report any submissions to this program in the past 12 months. These project RFPs are not the same program as the Art Works Media Arts program.
