Important New Internal Funding Opportunities

After the jump, please read the description of two important new internal funding programs. Of particular interest to our college--and worthy of your careful consideration--is the announcement of the new Non-laboratory Scholarship/Research Support Program (NSRP). If your work is in a laboratory, the Laboratory Research Equipment Program may also be of interest.  Let me know if you have any questions that the websites don't answer.

ORIED has created two new internal seed-funding programs to enhance research/scholarship and fund shared equipment at NC State.

Non-laboratory Scholarship/Research Support Program (NSRP)

The NSRP is designed to support research/scholarship needs in disciplines not driven by instrument-dependent research. Such disciplines may include, but are not limited to social sciences, humanities, education, design, management, and libraries. The two-tiered program will fund both small (less than $5,000) and large (up to $20,000) projects to support single or multi-investigator research/scholarship resources. This program is supported by ORIED and the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost.

Proposal Deadline: September 7, 2017, 5:00 p.m.
Laboratory Research Equipment Program (LREP)
The LREP is designed to support the acquisition, repair and/or replacement of shared equipment that may be located and maintained in NC State service centers, departments, colleges, centers/institutes, etc. ORIED has set aside $100,000 to support multiple purchases across campus. The maximum award for a single proposal is $25,000, and a one-to-one cost match is required.

Proposal Deadline: October 5, 2017, 5:00 p.m.
