Health Research in Underserved Populations: NC TraCS Special Pilot

The NC TraCS Institute is seeking submissions for its special pilot RFA “Promoting Health Equity by Including Underrepresented Participants in Research.” The purpose of this special RFA, sponsored by TraCS’ Integrating Special Populations Program and the Center for Health Equity Research (CHER) is to facilitate research that promotes health equity for groups who have traditionally been under-represented in health research or excluded altogether (e.g., people who live in rural areas, populations with low socioeconomic status, people with disabilities, adolescents, older adults, the LGBTQ community, African Americans, Native Americans, and Latinos). See the RFA for full details

All applicants must complete a consultation with a faculty expert from CHER and/or TraCS ISP by April 30, 2018. The full application deadline is June 12, 2018.

The pilot program is open to all NC TraCS partner institutions: UNC Chapel Hill, RTI, North Carolina A&T State University, and NC State University. Contact Abigail Haydon, Integrating Special Populations program manager at NC TraCS with questions.
