Engaged Scholarship Travel Stipends

The Office of Outreach and Engagement is offering stipends for participation in Community Engaged Scholarship activity.

The Office has a limited number of $500 scholarships available to attend any College or Department approved conference or meeting to present or enhance faculty engaged scholarship. Faculty and staff can apply to be reimbursed for activities that will take place from January - June 2019. Preference will be given to faculty who have plans to submit conference proposals.

The Research Development Office has been made aware of interest in a limited submission opportunity with a short timeline. Any faculty interested in participating in an expedited internal competition to select NC State's submission for this opportunity should email a one page project description and a two page CV as one file to limited-submission@ncsu.edu by 4:00 on Wednesday 1/15/19.

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF): Health and Climate Solutions
Through this funding opportunity, RWJF seeks to develop and amplify the evidence around a set of approaches that improve community health and well-being and advance health equity, while also addressing climate change adaptation or mitigation.

Outreach and Engagement (O&E) Incentive Grants Program.

The Office of Outreach and Engagement is pleased to announce the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Outreach and Engagement (O&E) Incentive Grants Program. (Full RFP requirements are at https://oe.ncsu.edu/incentivegrants/.)

The O&E Incentive Grants Program seeks to align interdisciplinary faculty, their expertise, their students, and their research work to address significant community challenges in Wake County. This effort also supports student engagement through faculty and community collaborations.

Research and Innovation Seed Funding Program 2019


The Research and Innovation Seed Funding (RISF) program is now accepting proposals from NC State faculty and EHRA professionals. This is an internal seed funding program offered by the NC State's Office of Research & Innovation and the Kenan Institute for Engineering, Technology, and Science. 

The primary goal of the RISF program is to assist NC State researchers in developing innovative interdisciplinary programs that have strong potential for significant future external support from government agencies, corporations, industrial consortia or foundations. Teams can request up to $25,000 in RISF funds, and must provide a minimum of 25% cost match.

GRIP4PSIORI is pleased to announce a new large-scale, inter-disciplinary seed-funding program to support the NC Plant Science Initiative (PSI). The Game-Changing Research Incentive Program for the Plant Sciences Initiative has $2.3 million in seed funding available.
