The Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) Research Development Office (RDO) and the Kenan Institute for Engineering, Technology & Science (KIETS) are pleased to announce that the fall cycle of the Research and Innovation Seed Funding (RISF) program is now open. NC State faculty and EHRA professionals are invited to submit proposals.
The RISF program is typically open in the spring semester; however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a fall cycle has been implemented to allow greater participation from the NC State research community. Similar to the recent spring cycle, submission requirements for the fall cycle have been condensed. Please review the fall RFP. Additionally, templates containing submission instructions and requirements are now available on the RISF website and should be used to assemble a RISF proposal.
Please note that proposals selected for fall RISF awards will be subject to additional requirements, which must be satisfied prior to the receipt of funding. Specifically:
- Proposals selected for a fall RISF award will have to be approved through PINS routing prior to the release of funds;
- Proposals selected for a fall 2020 RISF award will have been chosen under the assumption that matching funds will be provided as indicated;
- Should proposals selected for a fall RISF award (i) not be approved through PINS routing or (ii) be denied matching funds from their proposed source(s), ORI will eliminate such proposals from funding consideration.
Fall awardees will be contacted with information regarding additional requirements.
Proposals will be accepted through InfoReady Review until Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 11:59 P.M.
Please contact the Research Development Office with any questions.
