University Global Partnership Network (UPGN): Call for Proposals

This is an excellent opportunity for faculty whose work engages international partners. The College enjoyed some success in last year's funding process, so I think this is worth careful consideration this year. Some great things are being done under this program.

We are pleased to announce the Second Call for Proposals (2013) for the UGPN Research Collaboration Fund as a way to support high-quality research collaboration with UGPN partner institutions - University of São Paulo, University of Surrey and NC State.  We would appreciate your help to share this opportunity with faculty in your College.  More information is available in the announcement below and online.

Second Call for Proposals (2013)

The University Global Partnership Network (UGPN) is pleased to announce the Second Call for Proposals to the UGPN Research Collaboration Fund. This Fund will support high-quality research collaborations between researchers at the UGPN partner institutions. The intention is that these awards go beyond pump-priming to support substantive engagement that leads to high quality outputs, such as joint papers or joint research bids. Proposals should be jointly submitted by faculty from at least two of the UGPN partner institutions.

Deadline for submission: Thursday November 15, 2012 at 5:00 pm.

The University Global Partnership Network (UGPN) is a collaboration between NC State University, the University of São Paulo, Brazil and the University of Surrey, UK.  The mission of the UGPN is to develop sustainable world-class research, education and knowledge transfer through an active international network of selected Universities collaborating in research, learning and teaching to benefit global society.  The UGPN focuses on two priority areas: (a) promoting global graduates: student experience and employability and (b) promoting research with global impact.
