Conference on Bridging the Gap: Uniting North Carolina K-16 STEM Education

After the jump, please see the announcement of this important and interesting conference. Don't be dissuaded by the term "STEM"! The agenda for this conference is about learning and about students' understanding of science and reason. It's worth a look if you're interested in these matters.

Funding Opportunities from the Office of Global Engagement

Here are some currently open funding opportunities that may be of interest. I have highlighted in bold the opportunities for which our faculty will be particularly competitive.

LexisNexis Academic Database to be replaced

According to the University Libraries, the LexisNexis Academic database will be replaced by a new product, NexisUni.  See details about this change after the jump.

Laboratory Research Equipment Program (LREP)

The Office of Research Development has issued a call for proposals for the Laboratory Research Equipment Program (LREP). This may present some opportunities for our faculty. 

October 31 Deadline: Jefferson Science Fellows Program

New Funding Opportunities

Non-Laboratory Scholarship/Research Support Program (NSRP)

As a reminder, applications for the NSRP internal seed funding program are due on Thursday 9/7 by 5:00 pm. They should be submitted through InfoReady Review.

Limited Submission Announcements

These programs are those that limit the number of applications that the university can submit.
