LexisNexis Academic Database to be replaced

According to the University Libraries, the LexisNexis Academic database will be replaced by a new product, NexisUni.  See details about this change after the jump.

Here's the information from the libraries. I urge you to take advantage of the workshops being offered on the new interface.

The LexisNexis Academic database is being replaced by NexisUni, a new product designed to keep pace with how academic research is changing. Both databases will be available until Sept. 30, after which LexisNexis will no longer be provided. LexisNexis is most frequently utilized for newspaper, business, management and law research. Its content includes federal and state case law as well as U.S. and international newspapers. It is a primary database for researchers collecting a corpus of news articles for research analysis.
The Libraries will offer two free workshops with LexisNexis Solutions Consultant Stacey Sosna on how to use the new NexisUni database on Tuesday, Sept. 26 in the ITTC Lab 2 in D. H. Hill. Explore the NexisUni interface from 9:30-10:30 a.m., and learn how to use newspapers for research projects from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Advance registration is required.
NexisUni is designed to accommodate a digital-native generation of students and researchers. Satisfying both novice and advanced users, its interface mimics the “big search box” of Google and quickly connects users to natural language or complex Boolean searches. Users have more tools to personalize their research experiences with bookmarks, alerts, and a customized home page and to create collaborative folders for group research projects and course “required reading” areas.
