NSF MRSEC Webinar Monday 11/19
The RFP for NSF’s Materials Research Science and Engineering Centers (MRSEC) limited submission program has been released. The Research Development Office will be hosting a webinar to discuss NC State’s plans in response to this RFP, projected timeline, and expectations with regard to IRG selections. The webinar will be held at 11am on Monday 11/19. Register here

2019-2020 Internationalization Seed Grants
NC State faculty and staff are eligible to apply for up to $5,000 to support new international projects through the Office of Global Engagement’s Internationalization Seed Grant program. Proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2019. More information can be found here.

NSF: Inclusion across the Nation of Communities of Learners of Underrepresented Discoverers in Engineering and Science (NSF INCLUDES)

NSF INCLUDES  is a comprehensive national initiative designed to enhance U.S. leadership in STEM discoveries and innovations by focusing on broadening participation in these fields at scale. This solicitation offers opportunities for NSF INCLUDES Alliances.

Non-Limited Funding Opportunities

Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL): Artificial Intelligence Summer Institute (AISI) *Student Oppportunity*  
Students in the AISI will collaborate with ORNL scientists on solving problems of national and scientific interest, engage in educational and professional development opportunities, explore career opportunities at national laboratories, and interact with and present their research to ORNL's scientists. As part of the summer institute, students will be organized into teams with diverse educational backgrounds and develop their skills to help solve scientific challenges using artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. 
Deadline: Selections will be made on a rolling basis with the first round of selections starting January 1, 2019 and selections continuing until ten applicants have been chosen. Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2019.
