RTI University Scholars Program (Excellent opportunity for humanists and social scientists)
Applications are due on January 10, 2019. You can find information on previous RTI University Scholars from NC State here.

NC State MRSEC Planning
The MRSEC RFP has been released. For full details on NC State's internal planning for this solicitation, including a webinar, deadlines, and complete requirements visit RDO's website here. Preliminary internal documents are due on January 9, 2019. MRSEC is a limited submission opportunity and participation in NC State's internal process is required for submission to the NSF.

NIH: Data Science Research: Personal Health Libraries for Consumers and Patients 
The National Library of Medicine seeks applications for novel informatics and data science approaches that can help individuals gather, manage and use data and information about their personal health.

NSF: Advanced Computing Systems & Services: Adapting to the Rapid Evolution of Science and Engineering Research
The intent of this solicitation is to request proposals from organizations willing to serve as service providers (SPs) within the NSF Innovative High-Performance Computing (HPC) program to provide advanced cyberinfrastructure (CI) capabilities and/or services in production operations to support the full range of computational- and data-intensive research across all of science and engineering
Internal deadline -  Notification of interest: 12/13/18
Limit - 1 per organization, as lead
Sponsor deadline - Full proposal: 3/4/19

Non-Limited Funding Opportunities
NSF: Mid-scale Research Infrastructure-1
This program is intended to provide NSF with an agile, foundation-wide process to fund experimental research capabilities in the mid-scale range.Within Mid-scale RI-1, proposers may submit two types of projects, “Implementation” and “Design”. Design and Implementation projects may comprise any combination of equipment, infrastructure, computational hardware and software, and necessary commissioning.
Sponsor due date - Preliminary proposal: 2/19/19; Full proposal (by invitation only): 5/20/19

NSF: Enabling Quantum Leap: Quantum Idea Incubator for Transformational Advances in Quantum Systems (QII - TAQS)
This program is designed to support interdisciplinary teams that will explore highly innovative, original, and potentially transformative ideas for developing and applying quantum science, quantum computing, and quantum engineering.
