October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month - Protect the Pack: You are Security!
Please see the following announcement from the Office of Information Technology. Data security is very important to researchers, so being aware of efforts to improve data security is an important responsibility for us all.
Your data’s privacy depends on your ability to secure it safely.
Your ability to secure your data depends on what you know.
During Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CSAM) in October, the NC State Office of Information Technology, along with the NC State Department of Computer Science, ePartners Program, LabCorp, and MetLife, is co-sponsoring “Protect the Pack: You are Security” to provide you with valuable yet simple advice to protect your personal and work-related data and devices.
This year’s event will highlight a four-member panel of Google Security experts on Wednesday, Oct. 21 who will answer questions about the type of content that should be stored in Google Drive and the level of security the university’s G Suite environment provides. This panel discussion will be held at 2 p.m. online and is open to the novice and the experienced NC State G Suite user. Event participants will have an opportunity to win great prizes, including a Fire TV 4K Essentials Bundle, a RT ROCKTEK G1 Android TV 9.0, a Jabra Speak 410 portable conference speaker, and Yubikeys. NIH Funding: Artificial Intelligence and Technology Collaboratories for Aging Research
This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites applications for the Artificial Intelligence and Technology Collaboratories (AITC) for Aging Research program. The AITC program will serve as a national resource to promote the development and implementation of artificial intelligence approaches and technology through demonstration projects to improve care and health outcomes for older Americans, including persons with dementia (PWD) and their caregivers.
NIH Funding: Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Centers 2021
This FOA invites applications for research center grants designed to advance the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and amelioration of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This FOA seeks applications from institutions that meet the qualifications for a multi-disciplinary program of IDD research that will include: 1) Cores that facilitate interdisciplinary and translational research in IDD and its dissemination, and that support IDD-related projects funded by other sources; and 2) at least one specific research project related to one of several focus themes identified as an area of research need in IDD.
