Statistical Assistance Available to NC State Researchers


The Statistical Consulting Seminar ST 841, provides statistical advice and help to NCSU researchers from the planning stage, to selecting the experimental or sampling design, to running statistical analyses and interpreting statistical results. Students in the class are interested in gaining hands-on experience in statistical consulting and very eager to collaborate with NCSU researchers. We are looking for research projects that challenge students and help them to gain experience with analyzing real data.

The Laboratory for Analytic Science is an academic-industry-government partnership focused on the advancement of analysis, with particular focus on the Intelligence Community. LAS has released its Request for 2019 Proposals, which are due July 20, 2018.

Health Research in Underserved Populations: NC TraCS Special Pilot


The NC TraCS Institute is seeking submissions for its special pilot RFA “Promoting Health Equity by Including Underrepresented Participants in Research.” The purpose of this special RFA, sponsored by TraCS’ Integrating Special Populations Program and the Center for Health Equity Research (CHER) is to facilitate research that promotes health equity for groups who have traditionally been under-represented in health research or excluded altogether (e.g., people who live in rural areas, populations with low socioeconomic status, people with disabilities, adolescents, older adults, the LGBTQ community, African Americans, Native Americans, and Latinos). See the RFA for full details
